ANESTHESIA NOTES

Put to sleep on stretcher, then turn over to prone position onto gel rolls.

PATIENT POSITION | SETUP

Supine, arms on boards, gel pads, wrap with towels 2" tape. Pillow under legs. Plexipulses or Sequentials.

Foley catheter- remove foley at end of case.

Dr. C to tattoo markings with 3cc syringe, 18g needle, 22 g needle, large non-sterile gloves.

TABLE POSITION

normal, large chest pads with [5] blankets

ROOM SETUP

[2] Baer huggers, upper and lower body, pre-warm OR table

 

LIPOSUCTION SETUP


Liposuction machine with tubing. Check to make sure machine is working, have 1-2 canisters ready.

[2] pressure bags at head of table.

EQUIPMENT

Metric weighing scale, [2] Baer huggers upper body and lower body, Plexi-pulses or Sequentials. Dr. Cuadros Headlight, lightsource and cart, hydraulic stool

CHG prep set down to blue chux

Chole Drape sets, Mayo stand cover cut in half, Plastic Pack,

3/4 sheets, [6]sticky drapes, [1] medium sheet

NOTE: Place unsterile table cover on OR table before turn

CAUTERY

50/50 pure, Valley lab silver flat tip (E1450X), Have extended tip available.

SUCTION

[2] suctions: Saf-T-Vac and Yankauer

[4] marking pens w/ ruler, IV tubing,

[2-4] single-head cysto tubing sets, one for each pressure bag

Foley catheter #12 fr

SPONGES and TOWELS

[4] lap sponge packs, [4] towels

NON-STERILE SUPPLIES

metric digital scale to weigh specimens,

[2] small suction canisters, [4] pressure bags

 

SOLUTIONS | IRRIGATION

[4] liters plain saline, large bulbs

NEEDLES | SYRINGES

[2] 10cc syringes; [2] 25g needles 1 ½" for portal sites

[2] 20cc syringes with [2] 22g spinal Whitaker needles

     Mix 50cc 2%lidocaine w/epi, then

paper tape for dressing, binder (pt to bring), 1-2 pillows under knees move to stretcher, safety pins for drain bulbs, label bulbs with marker pen
