SmileFest! is a celebration to honor kids and their families. Children with clefts (or any other facial anomaly) and their families as well as your favorite doctors, nurses and assistants will be there to enjoy in the fun. There will be food, special activities and events.
The event is being organized by Krista Sullivan RN. Krista is a pediatric nurse at Presbyterian Hospital whose son, Cody, was born with a cleft lip and palate. Krista understands what it is like for a mother to go through all the complicated emotions and surgeries. Cody was recently featured in an Albuquerque Journal article called, Beyond Cosmetic - which highlights children born with clefts and other craniofacial deformities.
